  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Hey, I´m CaptainPanda ingame(EU) and I´ve been waiting for Green Arrow to be released so I can play the hell out of him, I have now done that a few times and wanted to share what I´ve learned so far.

This is my first guide and I am pretty sure it will not be hailed as the greatest of all guides, but I will do my best.

    ------------------------------
First some reflections on the latest patch, drone aggro really put the hurt on GA and you need to be careful when you harass in lane so you don't get overwhelmed and lose a ton of hp to the drones. Making it harder is the fact that all of GAs skills just change his basic attack, which of course aggroes.

I think his R might be excempt from this rule, but I have'nt tested it extensively enough, sometimes it seems it aggroes and sometimes not.

Also, I hate that you have to hit R again to release the arrow...I don't see the reasoning behind that, except for making it more annoying and prone to misclicks.

    Stolen Powers
    ------------------------------
I like taking Invulnerability as it aids in not getting killed I also like GAs Surveillance Cameras(a warded botlane is a good botlane), either that or Teleport. I don't take Super Speed because I feel if you into his Q stance you will have tons of movement speed anyway and should be able to chase / run away from pretty much anyone.

    Early game
    ------------------------------

You need to stay alert and harass with your Thermite(E) as much as possible, I like it because it has the highest damage to start with but Ballistic(W) is also good for poking. Remember that GA is seriously squishy, if you want to go very aggressive, make sure to start with Superoam Arrows(Q) so you have your escape to get out of sticky situations.
I prefer to go E,W,R,Q and then max E first, naturally max your R as soon as you are able.
Also your passive needs a few points in it, it does give a pretty good Attack speed steroid and is very useful.

Be careful about going toe 2 toe with the other Marksmen, early game you probably won't win it.

The important thing is to not die and give the enemy free money, better to farm safely in that case and slowly build up your strength, keep tabs on the minimap, is there a gank opportunity mid that you could take advantage of? Go get it!

    Mid game
    ------------------------------
This is were you start to shine, IF you have mastered the stances somewhat and know when to use which one, with your Q you can roam really well and setup some good ganks across the map(esp with Teleport).
Make sure to save your Q for when you are sure you can either catch someone or get away with it, if you get caught with it on cooldown by pretty much anyone, you are dead.

I can't emphasize enough that you need to learn the stances, I am just beginning to learn them myself, but my games today have gone a hell of a lot better than yesterday.

    Late game
    ------------------------------
This...is nice, if you've had a decent game and have all your items started you should be dishing out a ton of damage, if you go with Coda blade or Atomic Axe, turn on your W and it will shred enemy armour, watch them scream in agony as they are decimated in 2-4 shots, which with your attackspeed will be over before they know it.

As always, keep a good look on the minimap and make sure you are taking advantage of any situations you can.

    Conclusion
    ------------------------------
Well, I was underwhelmed by GA when I first tried him, but that was because I had'nt figured out how to use the stances properly, early game he still won't be able to goe 1 v 1 against Cyborg, but if you play smart you should be able to poke him down quite a bit, use your E for chunking down your enemy and for clearing lanes. And remember to use your long range R to harass the enemy with as well, they will truly hate you after a few arrows to the face.

If you have read this far, thanks! And hope you got some use out of it.
I´d be really happy if someone commented...even if it is to correct me, it would just be fun to know what people think, and of course I´m happy to take on constructive criticism

Feel free to add me ingame, I'd love to have more people on my list to play with!
