  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

This is my first guide, so I'll be updating to improve it as soon as I can.

I don't know about you guys, but one thing I've always hated about Nightmare Superman is his dueling potential, which is very low. I mean, yeah... You're playing a controller, you should stick with your team. But let's be reallistic here, how many times are you paired with a team who actually helps in Gotham Heights? Solo queues are a nightmare for controllers.

When going full PD, the only skill who actually does good damage for Nightmare Supes is Vortex and it's super easy to avoid, unless you close it manually. Which is no good, because it will cripple the damage potential. Phantom Collector is actually useful against blasters, but it's hard to land since you'll need to aim behind the enemy you want to hit, and it's a very slow skill, again, easy to dodge. Siphon/Infuse is actually a really good skill, but the cooldown really won't help. Of course you can combo Condemn and Vortex for easy damage, but it's wiser to save Condemn for team fights.

Building attack damage you won't have to rely on your skills to damage enemies. You can simply use them to disrupt enemies/help allies while using your basic attacks as your main damage source. You should level up Siphon/Infuse as soon as you can, because its shield will really help you and your teammates. Condemn is next on the list, it's an awesome tool for team fights. If you can't level up condemn, focus on Vortex because or possession, your choice. Vortex can be useful for the stun and possession can work as a second chance in team fights. Unless your team really needs power armor, ignore Phantom Collector for now.

Start your game with [[Deadshot's Visor (1)]] and Promethium Mace (2). Max out Deadshot's visor as soon as you can, then proceed to max out Promethium Mace to sell. After selling Promethium Mace, you should have 1500g, which you'll use to buy [[Joe Chill's Revolver (1)]] max out the Revolver and go for Velocity 9 Implants (1) which is very useful. After maxing out the implants I highly recommend picking [[Metallo's Heart (1)]] for the will boost, cooldown reduction and attack armor. After that you can build any AD/support item you want, really. [[Lobo's Chain (4)]] is great because of the passive and health boost. Sword Of Beowulf (3) is awesome because of the shield and the power armor.

You're going to play Nightmare Superman as a marksman, using your skills only to disrupt enemies and help teammates. Remember to always use Siphon/Infuse on yourself when dueling, or to use it on an enemy while on team fights. The shields powered by Metallo's Heart and Deadshot's Visor will help a lot, you might even defeat real marksman on duels. With this build, you can play the support while still having some serious duel potential and you are even able to carry on certain situations.

    Stolen Powers:
It's mainly up to you. You can't go wrong with invulnerability and healing wave, since they'll help on many different scenarios. I usually go with [[Doomsday's Invulnerability]] and [[Poison Ivy's Healing Wave]]. If you're new to the character and you aren't feeling confident about the build, [[Flash's Super Speed]] is a good option. [[Zatanna's Psychic Assault]] is also recommended to help on ganks.

    UPDATE 23/06/2014:

This build will work MUCH better if you already have an amplifier set with heavy attack damage / attack lifesteal / attack penetration / crit damage / crit change. Your regular marksman amplifier set will do nicely with this build. I tend to use my Green Arrow amplifier set on AD Nightmare Supes and it does wonders.

The mods I recommend using are:

    Empowered Joe Chill's Revolver
Accelerated Soultaker Katana (since you'll be using it on GH, it's a great boost.)
    Empowered Cheetah's Claw
Enhanced V9 Implants since the crit won't stack with JCR. The extra move speed can still be useful.
Resonant Metallo's Heart for the extra utility.

Thanks for reading. Have fun with your game!
