  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Why Cyborg on Coast City?: Some say he has the best teamfights out of all the marksmen. He definitely wins every duel late game if you just land your Q. Also your ult+basic attacks onto a group of enemies is an easy to get a wipe if your team can keep them off of you. My favorite part of his kit is his passive though. It gives you an insane amount of free damage if you learn how to harness it.

Stolen Powers: I feel that Arcane Green Lantern's healing wave is still the best for marksmen. It gives you slightly more survivability from burst damage when compared to Krypto's. And when paired with Doomsday Invul, as long as your team can help keep enemies off of you, you will be able to survive nearly any fight. If your support doesn't take cams for some reason, or you are solo top, take Doomsday's Invul and cams as your stolen powers. This is just so you don't walk into ganks a lot in the laning and solo roaming phases of the game.

The Modset: I have the full crit modset up top their, but here are your choices for all marksmen as it currently stands. The Full 10: +10 AD Crossbow, +10% Crit V9s & +10 AD Coda, Cross Crit: +10 AD Crossbow, +10 AD Coda, & Deadly 3, and Full Crit: +10% Crit V9s, +10 AD Coda, and Deadly 3.

Which should you take? That's up to you: The Full 10 gives you a lot of damage, crit chance, and speed, and is the cheaper early build meaning you get your first 3 faster. You sacrifice an extra 25% crit damage though. Cross Crit gives you extra base damage to go with full crit damage. Full Crit is just that, you are investing everything in crit early-mid game. You get max crit chance, and max crit damage while sacrificing base damage compared to Cross Crit. Nearly every other attack will be a crit that bypasses reflect, so this build can be very beneficial. May the crit chance system be with you.

Augments: I wanted a better catch all for people to play with. You get a lot of early damage, pen and attack speed to help you early game. You can still go pure pen though and just hit like a ton of bricks early.

Important Skill Notes: Landing Q on a target will boost basic attack damage onto a target. Be sure to land it when used or it is wasted will.
W is a strong knock back and slow that can help you escape if used right, or just keep them off you in a teamfight. Just don't be an idiot and knock an enemy into a fleeing ally with less health. That will never go over well.
E gives you a large boost to attack speed and a sizeable boost to move speed. It also has a very long cooldown with a huge will cost. Use this wisely or you will blow through your will in the most key points of the laning phase.
Ultimate: You will do a decent AoE blast, but the strength of the ultimate is that is turns your basic attacks into an AoE laser. You can swiss cheese an enemy team fast with this.
Passive: You do a percent of an enemy's max health as Attack Damage every 4th basic attack. I have always felt harnessing this was a key to doing well with Cyborg.

The Build: Take Nil Weapon, 4 health pots.

Each modset has its own build path from here. With Full 10, you build Crossbow then T3 V9s before moving into Joe Chills. Cross Crit requires you to build Crossbow and Joe Chills before grabbing T3 V9s. And finally, Full Crit has you build T3 V9s/Joe Chill's before building Crossbow. You cap each one of these main builds with Atomic Axe.

Now onto your options: If there is an insane amount of hard CC on the enemy team, you can pick up Mobious Core. If you just want to pick up a pure defense buffer item, pick your poison from the list. If you want some more damage and life steal, pick up Soultaker's Katana. But if you want to have a lot of fun with your ult, grab Cheetah's Claw. Ult+Q+E+Claw and you will fire like a machine gun doing massive multi-target damage. Only build claw as the 6th item if you want to do this though.

"The How": Don't push too hard in lane and focus on getting every last hit as possible. Getting good at this will net you a massive advantage over many enemies. Every 4th basic attack, hit your enemy to do sizeable poke damage with your passive. Q only in what would be more than just a basic attack trade. You have to get good at landing this or you will bleed will for no reason. If you get ganked, use your W to escape as long as you don't throw an enemy onto a lower health ally trying to escape.

In teamfights stand back a ways and ult onto the enemy team when they cluster, or get in a nice line for you. Ult+Q+E to do a massive amount of multitarget damage. This great when paired with a Wonder Woman ult; they would be in a nice cluster for you to melt. Use your W to knock them off you if you get jumped on. Hopefully your team will react and help you out.
