  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Why Blue Beetle on Coast City?: He is very versatile and can play as the carry in a duo lane, solo lane, or jungle. I will cover laning with him in this guide because that is the easiest way to pick up and play him. You also have to remember that despite his true damage passive, he needs attack penetration to increase the effectiveness of his skills and all non-empowered basic attacks. He can efface nearly any champion in the game with ease if played right.

Mods: I like using the mods below because I feel they help me get the most out of his kit. The early pen makes his Q absolutely devasting and the mass amount of early damage you build will help you snowball through the mid game with ease.

Build Path: Start out the game with Nil Weapon and 2 health and will pots. Time to start rushing Coda to T3. Once you have that, pick up Claymore T2. You now can poke enemies with your Q and have them regret their positioning. Now rush your Crossbow up to cap for a nice power spike.

You know want to work on your Crit items. Build up V9s first, but if you have 1500+ credits free at any time, build in Joe Chill's. In assassin mode a crit+passive proc is devastating to an enemy below 50% health. You should be able to take them out with ease when this happens. Once this is done, cap your Claymore.

You know have your options. This patch I am really going to like Utility Belt as a 6th item on Blue Beetle. Your procs of its keyword will be based solely on your will pool because you can always change forms to deal more damage when jumping on an isolated enemy. You don't have to use this item, you can pick up any item you think you will like. If they game carries on long enough after you pick up your 6th item, and you still have some spare change, sell Coda to pick up Atomic Axe. You lose 10 AD, but gain a lot more pen from doing this.

Playstyle: I feel Blue Beetle works best in a double marksman team comp because he is really a marksman and assassin wrapped up into one package. In the double marksman comp, I prefer playing him topside solo instead of bot lane just for the extra farm, and the fact it is hard for most of the cotrollers to synergize perfectly with him. In the ideal double marksman team comp for him, Mecha Wonder Woman or Gasbat would be the other marksman, you will have a high PD output champion as a support/jungler, and at least one enforcer in the jungle.

In either a solo lane or duo lane, never use your Q for wave clear unless they are applying pressure/damage onto your turret. Use it instead to fire at enemies to poke them out of lane. Your W also works as a secondary way to proc your passive. Remember that to help with damage if they get close to it. To maximize damage on an out of position enemy, hit them with Q, basic attack, W infront of their escape path and explode it and make sure to basic attack again to make use of mark. It does an amazing out of damage and will teach them to respect your abilities. And yes, I will answer it before you think it, you are basic attacking them as they are running away through the W proc.

Teamfights: I generally start off a fight standing back and firing my Q into the enemy team. Once I use up my passive proc, I then throw the W in and try to eat up all the marks on the close squishy targets. Once an out of place enemy gets rather low, and much of the hard CC is burned on the enemy team, I change into assassin mode and start the clean up. Once an enemy or two is eliminated I get the hell out switching back to marksman and using E to get out. I then rinse and repeat. Remember, once you have terminate, remember to use it in team fights to help knock someone out.

Congratulations, you can now play Blue Beetle like Dycer! As always I hope you liked this guide, and found it helpful. If you have any feedback, leave it. I am always willing to answer questions, and leave a rebuttal to why you think I suck. And remember, if you like a guide, rate it up. It helps others find helpful guides faster.
