  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

    Greetings Protectors!
My name is Aradon. This is my second guide here on Dawnbase. I am very familiar with MOBAs. I been starting getting into IC recently since League of Legends been annoying me to say the least. This is my solo guide to an interesting build for For those who play league, this is IC’s Jayce. Just like Jayce he shouldn’t be treated as Marksman but more as a poke then assassinate champion. (IMO)

    Play Style and Role

My play style is more unorthodox than most people I see play him or guides that are on here. I play his a ranged poker then when they get about 40% health then go in for the kill in Infiltrator Mode.  AD scaling in huge when he is in Infiltrator Mode and that is where I focused my build on. As a role this is Assassin/Bruiser as he can quickly burst down champions but he can also take quite bit of damage thanks to [[Steel's Breastplate (3)]]  and Hypersonics his melee W Ability.

    Why this Build?
Welll lets do some simple Math with this:
Fully Stacked [[Abin Sur's Lantern (4)]] gives you +800 Will, +25% Will Regen, and 20% Cooldown.  The power damage does nothing for us.(Only item to give half of the max Cooldown and also you should have it stacked by 35 mins in game even if you are doing poorly)
[[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] gives you +300 Will, 40 Attack Damage, +30% attack speed(Just attack damage and attack speed alone, is just about same stats as [[Huntress' Crossbow (3)]] )
So we get a total of 1100 Bonus Will we gain flat amount of 22 AD from Force of Will 2. What other mod gives you over 10 Flat AD and can grow if you invest more  into will? With the Intensity toggled, saying you have only 1100 Will(you will have even more with your base Will), you get an extra bonus damage of 66 AD, so that is a gain of 88 AD with just those two items! This toggle works on all your spells and basic attacks unlike [[Huntress' Crossbow (3)]].
[[Steel's Breastplate (3)]] – This item can give you either 20%-30% damage reduction for 5 seconds which is a huge amount especially going into team fights.
[[Gorilla Grodd's Helmet (4)]] –This item shield if you are level 19 and have 1800 bonus Will, gives you shield of 353 HP and immune to disables.

All together with these 4 items: gives you bonus of 1800 bonus Will which gives you flat amount of 36 AD from Force of Will 2. With the Intensity toggled, saying you have only 1800 Will(you will have even more with your base Will), you get an extra bonus damage of 108 Bonus Damage.

    Reach Directive (Passive)
  • Both the ranged passive and melee passive share the same 12/10/8/6 second cooldown. To fully utilize the passive, watch the cooldown. This passive works on drones, creatures and champions. When in Range Mode ,you deal more damage to units with higher health. In Melee Mode, you deal more damage to low health units.
  • Max this skill second

    Range Mode:

    Energy Cannon (Q)
  • This is 's main source of AoE damage and wave clear. Its low cooldown allows it to be spammed.
  • When combined with the Scanner ability, Energy Cannon can deal bonus TRUE DAMAGE to multiple enemies at once!
  • It is important to practice aiming this skill to hit it as often as possible. It is perhaps 's greatest form of burst damage, and it will be your source for triggering the passive in most cases. Try to always follow it up with a basic attack to consume the passive.
  • Max this skill 1st

    Scarab Scanner (W)
  • When the scanner explodes, all nearby enemies get a debuff placed on them. When a debuffed target takes damage from one of Blue Beetle's skill or basic attacks, it suffers additional TRUE DAMAGE based on the current level of your passive and the target's current HP! Costs 35/40/45/50 will. 20/16/12/8 second cooldown.
  • The explosion and debuff itself deals no damage. The debuffed target must be hit with a skill or a basic attack from Blue Beetle. The debuff lasts for 6 seconds.
  • Max this Skill last.

    Stick and Move (E)
  • Flying toward a target will not fire any projectiles at it. You can only deal damage with this spell if you are using it to put distance between the target and yourself.
  • cannot pass through walls or terrain with this skill. This ability should only be used to escape. You can use i aggressively but if you do. You don't have an escape.
  • Max this skill 3rd

    Infiltrator Mode (R)
  • This skill is what makes unique! Press R to transform into a melee champion with 3 entirely different skills.
  • also gains 20 movement speed whenever he is in his melee form. 6 second cooldown.
  • Level this up at 6/10/14/18
  • SIde note: Activating this will proc your passive

    Melee Mode:

    Lethal Measures (Q)
  • This skill is most commonly used to close the gap once a target gets low on HP after you've been poking it with ranged attacks and abilities. However, it can also be used to finish off a low target since it has the greatest cast range and also applies on hit effects. Since this skill has the lowest cooldown of the melee skills and also gets increased move speed in this form, it is not uncommon to use your full melee rotation on a target and then chase it until this spell comes back up before leaping in again for the final blow.
  • This procs Reach Directive[[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] [[Huntress' Crossbow (3)]]  Psi-Scimitar (3)

    Hypersonics (W)
  • As with the ranged W, this debuff is consumed when the target suffers damage from one of 's skills or basic attacks. Once again, the debuff deals no damage itself, but lasts for 6 seconds and deals TRUE DAMAGE when consumed by damage from 's spell or auto attack. Since this is the melee form, the damage will increase as the target's HP decreases.
  • Another note to remember you recieve less damage when you activate Hypersonics.

    Mandible Taser (E)
  • This skill is  strongest of his melee skill. This skill will put the hurt on your enemies and slow them down greatly
    Early Game:

Everything is going to be based on your early game with . You want to play very cautiously and focus on your farm than killing the other champion. The reason why is you don't have you full burst combo yet and you are fairly weak pre-level 6. With [[Abin Sur's Lantern (1)]] will allow you farm with your Q or poke the enemy champion way so you can farm in peace. You want to rush to [[Abin Sur's Lantern (2)]] then go for [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]]. Once level 6, you can start to be more agressive against your lane partner.

Note: If you get behind, you are screwed  is a very item dependent champion and he scales moderately.

    Augments and Mods

Augments and Mods are usually personally preference for most people. For me Augments are to give you early game advantage so I will never use scaling Augments. For Mods this build only works if you have these first two Mods:
    First Mod: Empowered Deadshot's Visor.
Second Mod: Accelerated Abin Sur's Lantern or Empowered Abin Sur's Lantern. (Your preference)
Third Mod is your choice but I suggest: Altered Steel's Breastplate. It gives you a lot of durability. Other good choices: Enhanced Huntress' Crossbow, Enhanced Soultaker Katana, Empowered Psi-Scimitar
Accelerated Abin Sur’s Lantern vs. Empowered Abin Sur’s Lantern
Empowered you are guaranteed to have it full charge at the max of 30 min after you buy tier 2.
Accelerated you are not guaranteed but if you start to snowball, you can have it charged by half the time.

For Augments I use the following:
  • Kord Industries SLASHER: 1.8 Attack Penetration, 2.01 Attack Damage
  • Queen Industries KAI: 2.41 Attack Damage, 1.5 Attack Penetration
  • Queen Industries FALCON: 2.41 Attack Damage, 2.81 Attack Speed
  • Kord Industries LASER: 3.02 Move Speed, 2.01 Attack Damage

This leaves us with 8.84 Flat attack damage, 3.3 Flat attack penetration, 2.81 attack speed and 3.02% Move Speed.

    Stolen Powers

The two powers I choose focus on the defensive part for  because my With this build makes more of an assassin/bruiser combo.  This will increase your chances in  for survival.

    Other good choices:
[[Arcane Green Lantern's Healing Wave]] - This will help you from dieing but shield is a bit better because it can absorb more damage.
[[Hawkgirl's Super Speed]] - It is great for chasing and escapes
[[Zatanna's Psychic Assault]] - Same as with [[Hawkgirl's Super Speed]] (but less Utility than Super Speed)

    Item Choices

    Starting Choice:
  • Nil Weapon Modular Health Vial (2) Modular Will Vial (1)
  • [[Abin Sur's Lantern (1)]] Modular Health Vial (3)
Nil Weapon start will give you the best advantage over your opponent and I put pick this if you are going to be more aggressive
[[Abin Sur's Lantern (1)]] start is better if you are going to farm and get your [[Abin Sur's Lantern (2)]] faster.

With either start you want to rush [[Abin Sur's Lantern (2)]] start getting your stacks then rush [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] once you get that you will have a huge power spike after that is complete by then you should have bonus of about 500 will. From there, you can build however you want. I will suggest to cap [[Abin Sur's Lantern (4)]] as your 3rd or 4th item.

[[Steel's Breastplate (3)]] – It is a very good defensive item to have with this build because you will have a huge will bar and having 20%-30% damage reduction is huge especially in those large team fights
Atomic Axe (2) – Well it gives you a huge damage boost. If they don’t have much armor go for Deathstroke's Claymore (3)
Deathstroke's Claymore (3) – Give you a great passive, cooldown reduction and armor penetration.  It is better than Atomic Axe (2) in my opinion but if they build heavy armor for Atomic Axe (2)
Soultaker Katana (4) – It gives a lot of AD and up to 12%-18% lifesteal. Which is a very good item for this build because it will give you damage and help you sustain in longer fights.(Usually can give you an edge over other champions)
[[Gorilla Grodd's Helmet (4)]] –It is a good item with this build. It gives you Will for your [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] passive, Cooldown reduction, resilience and a shield based off your will. The shield and immunity to disables are the main buying points.
[[Ra's al Ghul's Robe (2)]] – Is another good defensive item as it will revive you if you die.
Suit Of Sorrows (4) [[Mirror Master's Prism (4)]] – Get one of these items if they team is heavy in either one of them.
Coda Blade (4) – Very usually item against hyper healers.
Psi-Scimitar (3) – It is an interesting item on him because adds to his burst greatly with only 2s cooldown. It is unfortunate that it only give 35 AD.
[[Huntress' Crossbow (3)]] – It goes well with [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] passive and still always you to function as a ranged champion quite well.

    My Ideal Final Build:

    [[Abin Sur's Lantern (4)]] [[Deadshot's Visor (3)]] [[Steel's Breastplate (3)]]  Soultaker Katana (4) Deathstroke's Claymore (3) [[Huntress' Crossbow (3)]]
