ROLE: Zatanna is a Controller! This means that it is her responsibility to increase the survivability of her teammates to secure kills! Many people build her as a blaster for both Gotham Heights and even MORE For Mid Lane Gotham Divided (to each their own), however, I tend to like playing champions as they were intended.
PLAYSTYLE: Zatanna is a ranged champion to make sure to stay back to position yourself for the perfect shot! Focus on healing who needs to be healed, make sure you also use your Q and E combo to help take out enemies...and remember to pop the slow W to ensure the retreating foe cannot escape. Take out the most dangerous member with you ultimate R to give your team a better fighting chance. NOTE: I know I put her ultimate last, this is because you'll have a lot of cooldown reduction already to get her ult up quickly. The main focus is continuous support of shielding speeding and slowing the enemy.

[[Fatality's Energy Lance (4)]] - Activate to fire a blast of energy that deals damage to the first enemy Champion hit equal to 15% of their current Health as Power Damage, and increases further damage you deal to them by 10% for 5s (30s Cooldown)
The Book Of Eternity (2) - Damage & Power Penetration (getting through enemy armour)
OPTIONAL DEFENSIVE ITEMS:
[[Steel's Breastplate (3)]] - Attack Armor, Will, Helath, Damage to will re-direct
Amulet Of Isis (3) - Speed buff for attacking or retreating!
SITUATIONAL ITEMS:
Bleed Portal - Great for sneaking back to top or ganking bottom. You can also Mod Bleed Portal. By modding Bleed Portal (make its exit first) you can make the exit safely at your base and the entrance at a point where you need to escape quickly

- I love this Healing Wave over any other as it give you additional Attack & Power Armour when you need it most:
[[Doomsday's Invulnerability]] - In theory you want to stay out of the middle of the fight, however, as a controller you will be focused and many times will need it to stay in the fight longer or to escape.

[[Gaslight Batman's Surveillance Camera]]
- The cameras have increased sight distance, perfect for the small map of GH. These are great if you have a team member (assassin especially) that wants to use teleport as you can teleport to a camera. Also, placing them in the top or bottom jungle and on top of the orbital camera give GREAT map awareness to your team to prevent =13pxganks and who you are running into face when the orbital cannon =13pxcomes online
[[Catwoman's Teleport]]
- Catwoman's has a shorter cooldown. If you think your team may lack mobility, based on the champions they chose...don't be afraid to pick up teleport to rush to your turret to help teammate.
MODS & AUGMENTS: = ocus on Movement Speed over Power Damage and Cooldown Reduction Mods. Your Items will give you MAX cooldown reduction so wasting it for minimal bonus early in the game is not worth it in my opinion. I threw in some health and armor with the movement speed buff so it will give you a bit more of a fighting change if you get focused in the mstch.
NOTE: I use the same Mods For Zatanna, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy....WHY because I only have the standard 3 slots for pages unlocked. I'm saving up to buy more slots, however, this is intended to be a guide that is user-friendly and doesn't need you to have everything unlocked for you to play and have fun!
