  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

There are plenty of new and interesting mechanics changes coming to Infinite Crisis, including credit denial and tower shopping. These are expected to be implemented with the December patch, which we currently assume to be around December 11, along with Mecha Wonder Woman.

The full video where Turbine staff Jim Duffy (PlayByGray) and Cardell Kerr (Annuvin) discuss the upcoming changes can be watched below.

The focus for earning credits is shifting away from laning and towards objectives. While early game will still provide farm opportunities, drones will provide less credits. Map objectives such as the Raider, power relays, and the Doomsday Device will have their credit values increased, to help encourage players to focus on those and reward teams who work together for objectives.

Credit denial is coming. Currently, drones which die without being last-hit by a champion drop their credit value to the ground, to be collected by the other team. With the new update, players will be able to walk over enemy credits (grey/silver) to destroy those dropped credits, denying the enemy players that income.

Drones will no longer auto target enemy champions upon aggression. Currently, attacking an enemy champion while they have their drones nearby will immediately trigger those drones to target you. With the new update, drones will continue to attack each other regardless of any aggressive action, and will only attack you if they have no other targets in range.

Consumable items are being removed. Health Pack and Will Pack will be removed, and replaced with items that contain a number of charges similar to the Tektite Vial. These items will refill upon base, and can be upgraded across multiple tiers to increase the amount of health or will replenished per charge.

Towers on Coast City now offer Foundry access. Instead of recalling back to base, champions will be able to move back to a friendly tower to buy items directly from the tower. Any surviving friendly tower can be used for shopping, so junglers can move to a second or third tower to buy items without being seen by the enemy team. Once a tower is destroyed it can no longer be used as a spot to purchase items from. Towers do not replenish a champion's health or will; recalling to base is still the only way to do this. This change does not affect Gotham Heights.

The full custom amplifier system is expected to release in the new update. This will feature fully customisable amplifiers, with augments (champion stat increases) and modifiers (item stat increases and price reductions).

Dawnbase is awesome! I like some of the changes but i do fear that this might cause some teams and/or champs to snowbal pretty fast and hard if they cant make a objective, i also fear what this will do to soloQ. But we shall see how it all works out once the update is released, prolly going to be tuned when needed

I freakin love that "Towers are stores" idea.  I believe it will not only excelerate gameplay, but also make this game feel unique compared to the other MOBAs out right now.  This only gets better with the change to consumables :D.  Lastely and most importantly, I loooove the idea of increasing objective credits.  Theres nothing i hate more than a team who'd rather chase for kills and secure a tower.  Great work guys and keep up the fantastic work!!!!! <3

Cant wait for the Amps, and i like the fact that you can deny farm now, gonig to make the game a bit more interesting for sure, im not sure i like how the drones wont attack on agression however, this i think will make it very easy to harass enemies in lane without any consequence. They should keep the agression that way people have to choose times to try to engage enemies rather than being able to do it all the time.
