  • Infinite Crisis has shut down.

With its departure, Dawnbase will be going into permanent read-only mode and will remain as both an archive of information about Infinite Crisis, and a reminder of the times we all had with the game.

Hats off to you all. It was a pleasure, ladies and gentlemen.

Custom lobbies have been highly requested by players for a long time now, and you will be happy to hear that the feature is almost completed!

This will help teams scrim against each other for practice, as well as letting players try different things out — jungle routes, build ideas, and so forth — without the pressure of having to join a public match to do so.

At first the lobby will only support 5v5 matchups for scrims, but this will be expanded upon to allow smaller teams and solo players over time.

No bot support yet; they take a lot of time to develop and there are higher priorities right now, but AI bot games are expected to be available by release.

Custom lobbies are due to be released with the October CB5 patch, which also brings Catwoman.

    Bueno. Very bueno.

I imagine bot AI is hard....has to be unique per champion and all as well.  I would be beyond happy with 1 AI of each type (assassin, blaster, etc) for newbies.  Heck, even a custom map with ZERO enemy team members is good for learning the map ins and outs. good progress Turbine!!

Alright, can't wait! I love how you can systematically see the game improving over the beta period, and how it's definitely shaping up for launch. Good going Turbine, keep up the good work.

what does CB stand for?  client Binaries? I love this game, but the most exciting part is envisioning the game in a year's time...

CB stands for Closed Beta. CB5 will be the fifth major closed beta patch.

Wow, that is so obvious and I am a fool...thanks!!  Not sure how I missed that =) I imagine no, but any idea on what patch they internally expect to be the last CB patch and the first either Open Beta or release?

Sacrilege may or may not know, but if he does, it is probably a non-disclosure issue, just like being in the closed beta is. Also, the game, while running pretty well, still has some pretty serious flaws. It is moving along nicely, but there is still a good bit of work to be done so I doubt it is anytime soon.
