Drone aggro is returning. Performing basic attacks against an enemy champion in lane on Gotham Divided or Coast City will, once again, cause all of their nearby drones to aggro onto you. This is a much needed change to help melee champions perform on par with ranged in lane. Note that using abilities on an enemy champion will not trigger aggro.
A basic practice queue is available. This takes place on Coast City, and allows five players to play a match against an empty enemy team (5v0) in order to practice things like how their champion works, testing item builds, and familiarising themselves with objectives or jungle routes.
Merit gains have been boosted across the board. Multipliers are in place based on protector level (2x for levels below 6, 1.5x for 6-10) to help new players start to unlock things. Matches overall should be granting between 40-60% more merit than before. The maximum merit possible from a match is 180 for a win, or 140 for a loss.
A number of matchmaking changes are in effect. Protectors below level 20 will only be paired with others in their level range, reducing the odds of new players being unfairly stomped by veterans. Above level 20, this level restriction is removed and only a player's internal (hidden) rating and group size, if applicable, matters. Groups will still try to be matched against lobbies with same sized groups. If a player is in queue for above eight minutes, the band restrictions will lax in order to find a match regardless of matchup.
Friend/Foe Coloring is on by default. This means that, regardless of which side of the map you start on, your team will appear blue to you, and the enemy appearing red. This makes life easier for many gamers, as we're used to "red = enemies". This setting can be changed through the options.
