The focus for earning credits is shifting away from laning and towards objectives. While early game will still provide farm opportunities, drones will provide less credits. Map objectives such as the Raider, power relays, and the Doomsday Device will have their credit values increased, to help encourage players to focus on those and reward teams who work together for objectives.
Credit denial is coming. Currently, drones which die without being last-hit by a champion drop their credit value to the ground, to be collected by the other team. With the new update, players will be able to walk over enemy credits (grey/silver) to destroy those dropped credits, denying the enemy players that income.
Drones will no longer auto target enemy champions upon aggression. Currently, attacking an enemy champion while they have their drones nearby will immediately trigger those drones to target you. With the new update, drones will continue to attack each other regardless of any aggressive action, and will only attack you if they have no other targets in range.
Consumable items are being removed. Health Pack and Will Pack will be removed, and replaced with items that contain a number of charges similar to the Tektite Vial. These items will refill upon base, and can be upgraded across multiple tiers to increase the amount of health or will replenished per charge.
Towers on Coast City now offer Foundry access. Instead of recalling back to base, champions will be able to move back to a friendly tower to buy items directly from the tower. Any surviving friendly tower can be used for shopping, so junglers can move to a second or third tower to buy items without being seen by the enemy team. Once a tower is destroyed it can no longer be used as a spot to purchase items from. Towers do not replenish a champion's health or will; recalling to base is still the only way to do this. This change does not affect Gotham Heights.
The full custom amplifier system is expected to release in the new update. This will feature fully customisable amplifiers, with augments (champion stat increases) and modifiers (item stat increases and price reductions).
